This couple may win for the best "how we met" story. Jacob was over serving in Iraq or Afghanistan (I forget which - sorry!) and he and Kaelynn found one another through an online LDS dating site. After a few months of letters, e-mails and chatting over Skype, then met each other in-person for the first time this June. He proposed, and they were married in November. They are just darling with one another. So perfect!
Oh, and if you can't tell by the pictures, it was FREEZING when they got married. And windy. Love the Draper Utah LDS Temple, but it can get cold up there in the wintertime!

One Year Old Pictures
Here are a few more pictures from that one-year-old photo shoot with Cael. This little man was such a trooper when it came to taking his pictures. It was cold and his poor hands were freezing. I had to post a picture of one of his pout/frowny faces he made during the shoot. It made me giggle. These pictures, by the way, were taken at an old historic campground near South Towne Mall, and on an old fire truck by Club 90.

Portraits at Pierpont, Main Street and the Salt Lake City Library - Utah High School Senior Photographer
I love shooting portraits downtown just because there is so much variety within a few blocks. I took these pictures a year ago, but these sisters are so gorgeous, I couldn't resist posting so you could see some of the work I've done downtown.

My new logo
Some of you may have noticed I switched my logo last week. And then, I switched it again tonight. I'm struggling! A good friend, Kirk Larson, designed two logos for me to use on this site, and I can't decide which one I like better.
Kirk, by the way, is an incredible designer based in Provo and one of my husband's best friends. My sneaky husband got him to design the logos as a Christmas present. I'll be taking their photos this spring in exchange for the gift, so look for those.
Anyhow, any suggestions? I like the red, because it "pops," but the other is more traditional, and I like how it looks as a watermark better.

Lauren - Portraits in the backyard
This is my gorgeous cousin, Lauren. I had forgotten about taking these pictures for her this summer. They were actually done in my parents' backyard. If only I could grow flowers as well as my mom...
Chantelle & Tyler - Draper Utah Reception
I love the looks between couples just after they get married. It's the romantic in me, I guess. Reminds me of my own wedding day, too. Chantelle and Tyler held their reception at a LDS meeting house in Draper.
Chantelle & Tyler - Draper Utah Temple
I love the new Draper temple, but man, it can get cold up there. Chantelle and Tyler were married back in November and the two were so incredible when it came to taking pictures. The wind was so brisk and cold, but I think Chantelle was able to pull off looking warm the entire time. Thank goodness for her one of her family members who let me borrow gloves. I totally spaced it because it was so warm in the valley.
